What sets her apart is her groundbreaking contribution in establishing a creative and unparalleled inmate re-entry initiative within the commonwealth of Virginia. Leveraging her role as a speaker and a former radio talk show host, Lisa has harnessed her own life lessons to motivate others, offering new outlooks on facing challenges and unleashing untapped potential.
From life on the streets of our nation’s capital to an influential role on a Virginia Senate Sub-Committee focusing on prisoner re-entry, Lisa's journey is one of transformation. During her tenure, she made significant contributions to state law, submitting three legislative pieces that later became enacted.
Lisa travels across the nation, speaking to a diverse range of audiences including correctional associations, rehabilitation centers, corporations, churches, colleges, and non-profit fundraising events. Furthermore, she remains committed to her roots, by presenting her self-created reentry seminars throughout the Virginia Department of Corrections.
Her mission is to dismantle the harmful perception that some lives hold less value than others. She strongly believes in the inherent worth of all individuals, regardless of their past mistakes.
